One The Elephant, Elephant & Castle, London (37 Floors)

Keepshut London was appointed to carry out a full fire door condition survey and remedial works programme at One The Elephant, a large mixed-use development in Elephant & Castle, London. The project involved the inspection, repair and upgrade of over 300–400 fire doors, including both FD30 and FD60 fire doors.

The scope of works included a comprehensive fire door survey carried out under the BM TRADA Fire Door Certification Scheme, alongside detailed fire stopping inspections. Each fire door was assessed for compliance, performance and condition, with remedial works completed to address identified defects and ensure compliance with current fire safety requirements.

Our team delivered a structured and phased approach to manage the scale of the building and minimise disruption to residents and building operations. All remedial works were completed by certified installers in line with third-party certification requirements and recognised industry standards.

The resulting survey and remedial programme provided clear compliance documentation and a robust foundation for ongoing fire door maintenance and asset management. This project demonstrates Keepshut London’s experience delivering large-scale fire door inspections, FD30 and FD60 remedial works and fire stopping inspections within complex residential and mixed-use buildings across London.
